Meredith Salenger

Salenger was raised and born in Malibu, California. Salenger loved performing in front of her friends and family when she was a child. As young as eight she was taken by her mother to her very first acting class. Salenger played a small role as "a singer and dancer orphan" in John Huston's feature film Annie. Salenger played a variety of TV ads. Salenger played her first lead part for the lead role in The Journey of Natty Gann which was a Disney movie that starred John Cusack with Ray Wise. It was the first US film to earn the Gold Award from the Moscow Film Festival. The film also garnered her "Best actor in a drama" in the Youth in Film Awards for her portrayal as the charming Natty Gann. After appearing in four other films before she was 18 years old such as A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon, she left Hollywood in order to attend Harvard to continue her education.
